Chris Hollis CDR Yamaha injured shoulder ruled out of remaining rounds of InsureMyRide Australian Enduro-x Nationals 2015
In the lead up to round 2 of the InsureMyRide Australian enduro-x nationals comes a major blow to organisers and CDR Yamaha team that 2014 defending champion Chris Hollis sustained an injury at Brisbane in round 1.
- Sydney Dragway – Eastern Creek – Saturday Night 28th February 2015
- Calder Park Raceway – Melbourne – Saturday Night 14th March 2015
Promotor of the enduro-x series, Dave Robbins announced today, “Chris Hollis had an incident at round 1 of the InsureMyRide Australian enduro-x nationals at Brisbane. Chris went over the bars on a small double and landed on his shoulder sustaining an injury to his AC joint. This ruled him out of any results in round 1 and any further events in the enduro-x series. Chris will be on the sidelines at the Sydney enduro-x assisting the commentary team and helping fellow CDR Yamaha team mate, Tom McCormack with enduro-x racing tips. Indications are that Chris will be ready for round one of the AORC”
The absence of defending champion Chris Hollis, although a major blow to CDR Yamaha team leaves the series wide open for any one of a number of riders to take the challenge to USA Husqvarna rider Mike Brown. The challenge will come from Toby Price, Peter Boyle, Josh Green, Daniel Sanders, Tye Simmonds, Tom McCormack, Mitch Harper and Lachlan Stanford who all showed at times they had the pace to run with the American.
Dave Robbins advised that organisation for the Sydney event is going well with the Saturday night racing concept being popular with the fans. In a first for the Sydney Dragway complex the Corporate Box facilities are 100% booked out, and tickets sales are at their highest level for any enduro-x event to date.
